ADHOC Builds Up Civil Party Reps Scheme for Case 002

In an effort to assist a large number of Civil Party applicants to participate in the Case 002 judicial proceedings in a meaningful manner, the Cambodian Human Rights and Development Association (ADHOC) has established a nationwide Civil Party Representative (CPR) scheme. Press Conference on Land and Forest Issues in Rattanakiry

On 8 April 2011 ADHOC hold press concerence on demand to stop land grabbing and illegal logging in Indigenous People community and on the resolution of land, forest issues and impact by Economic Land Concession in Rattanakiry office. This press conference were participated from more than 70 people from 10 indigenous people communities in Rattanakiry and other media in Rattanakiry.

Cambodian civil society leaders discussed on State and Government

ADHOCs Radio Program on 6th April 2011 broadcasted from 7:30.am to 8:30.am, Radio FM 105, FM 90 in Phnom Penh and FM 90.25 in Battambang province. In the program different civil society leaders including Mr. THUN Saray – ADHOC President, Dr. LAO Mong Hay – former Executive Director KID, and Mr. SOK Samoeun – CDP Executive Director of CDP, and moderated by Mr. LATT Ky, ADHOC – KRT Program Coordinator participated in the discussion.

122 Civil Party Representatives Meeting in Phnom Penh Hotel on March 17 – 18, 2011. The Objective is to increase the knowedge of the Representative and to strengthen the understanding of their role as ” Communicator and Messager ” for distributing information for Case 002 within ADHOC Civil Party network.

Forced Eviction at Kirirom Market 73 Families

On 25 March 2011, hundreds armed forces were deployed to remove 73 family’s house to implement judgment of Kg. Speu court

Workshop on Land and Natural Resource Rights in Battambang

On 24 March 2011 ADHOC hold a workshop on land and natural resource rights in Raksmey Samaky hotel of Battambang town. This workshop was participated by 60 land victims (11 female), by local authority such as village chie, commune council, district governor, provincial authority, relevant department officers and national, international organization’s representatives. The workshop was under presidency of Mr. Thun Saray, ADHOC’s president and H.E Sieng Suthorng, deputy provincial governor in charge of land dispute resolution.
